Born and raised on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, Olena Heu is a journalist, photographer, media personality, television producer/host and former Miss Hawaii ([1]) who competed at Miss America 2005 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The daughter to a single-parent mother attended Kilauea Elementary School on Kauai's north shore then Kapaa High School prior to receiving her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Hawaii Pacific University. Upon completion of her BA Olena worked as a general assignment reporter at KHON2, then morning show news anchor on Wake Up 2day.
In 2014, Olena left KHON2 to pursue entrepreneurship and launched her own digital marketing and PR firm in Hawaii.
