    An evening well-spent

    AT a time when so much seems to be going wrong, some much-needed positive energy pulsated from the Ball Park Entertainment Centre in Christ Church on Friday night.

    Billed “A Night with RPB”, persons came out in their numbers to the spacious venue which allowed for COVID-19 protocols to be followed, for a night of dancing and nostalgia.

    With Crop Over and virtually all live performances being limited or cancelled as a result of the pandemic, patrons could not get enough of the veterans who masterfully took over the stage, backed by the Royal Barbados Police Force band.

    Last year’s Pic-o-de-Crop Monarch William “Classic” Waithe started the night rolling with his winning One Song, and went on to his hits Tell Dem Calypsonians, Mascoll and De Oil.

    The inimitable Mac Fingall performed his hits Barbados belong to We, Good Time and Ah Go Whine.

    Elenza “Serenader” Brewster followed with Breakdown commonly known as One Step Forward and Juck fuh Juck.
