One-page artist biographies combine reading comprehension with art observation and help develop visual literacy. Each artist summary is accompanied by a student response worksheet with prompts for written and illustrated responses to informational text.

These mini-biographies are kid-friendly and designed to accompany art observation activities; a list of suggested art works to use with the biographies is included.

They can also be used alone.
